The initiative Mission Smart Grid: a project aimed at experimenting and demonstrating in real environment the role of multi-vector smart energy microgrids in supporting the energy transition

The project MISSION Smart Grid (acronym MISSION – Smart, multivector and integrated microgrids and systems, to accelerate the energy transition) aims at studying, exploring, and testing the potential and the role of multivector smart energy microgrids in support of the energy transition. Within the project, advanced conceptual models of operation of multi-vector (thermal-electrical) distributed energy systems are developed, implemented and validated in a Smart Grid perspective and in a real and relevant environment. In particular, two demonstrators of smart energy microgrids are located at the ENEA Research Center in Portici and the RSE premises in Milan and Piacenza.
